Couple of weeks earlier we had written about the race between tech giants - Google, Amazon, Microsoft, etc. Now that we have the G-word launched we cannot hold our hands without writing about it.

“With a score of over 90%, Gemini is the first A.I. model to outperform human experts on the industry standard benchmark MMLU,” said Eli Collins, Vice President of Product at Google DeepMind. “It’s our largest and most capable A.I. model.” MMLU, short for Massive Multitask Language Understanding, measures AI capabilities using standard tests in a combination of 57 subjects such as math, physics, history, law, medicine, and ethics.
How it is compared to ChatGPT:
According to the news, Google’s Gemini is a new AI model that comes in three optimized versions: Ultra, Pro, and Nano. The Ultra model is capable of state-of-the-art performance and surpasses human experts in language understanding . It has demonstrated unprecedented capabilities in tasks ranging from coding to multimodal benchmarks .
